South West of Kolkata, India lies Newtown, now a failed planned living community. Based on the true stories of a handful of buyers, the actors in Hawkins’ video use abandoned buildings as their primary stage to reflect upon their trials and travails of home ownership in a market bubble. Breaking into song and dance, their costumes create a theme of global 'commonality' in this comedic play - a story of gain, glory, loss, and recovery.
