The Hero, 2004
Hawkins and friends film a remake of the Oscar award-winning movie American Beauty. A famous Nepali actor stars in the new version and retitles it The Hero out of his love for American cinema. The movie's original imagery takes on new meaning when transplanted from suburban America to the Himalayas and the plot becomes muddled in multiple subtitle translations.
